			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://www.lapislight.com/wp/2009/10/24/take-omega-3s-to-keep-your-eyesight/">Take Omega-3&#8242;s To Keep Your Eyesight</a></p><p>This <a title="Omega-3 &amp; AMD" href="http://www.ajcn.org/cgi/content/abstract/ajcn.2009.27594v1" target="_blank">study</a> done by the National Eye Institute (part of the National Insitutes of Health) demonstrated a large reduction in <em>age-related macular degeneration</em> (AMD) in those with the highest intake of omega-3 fatty acids (fish oil). The research encompassed twelve years of data and included people who were most at risk for this common cause of age-related vision loss.</p>
